A friend loves at all times and kinsfolk are born to share adversity.  Proverbs 17:17

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”  Isaiah 30: 21

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.  2 Corinthians 4:17

Cold weather items like hats, scarves, gloves, socks are welcome with this cold weather for our homeless brothers and sisters, please.

My heart is heavy for our homeless brothers and sisters, many of whom have mental health issues and can’t hold a job; not because they are lazy or don’t want to work.   With this cold weather there is a city ordinance that it has to be 40 F before shelters can open for the night.  Gee whiz!  At 42 F it is cold out there to be in 24 hrs. a day, too!! I know!!  There has to be a cut off.  But could we get the city to concentrate on some shelters permanently where people can be inside all day and night as needed in extreme cold and heat???   A tent isn’t a solution.  There also needs to be a security guard on duty, toilets, etc. And because of the new ordinance the homeless will be arrested if they are found sleeping in the city around buildings,  etc.   Pray!!!!   Please!

Pray for our country’s new president and new cabinet/congress members.

Pray for those still struggling with the West Coast fires; Oh, Lord, so many are involved, so many losing everything and no place to go; so many fire fighters involved.  But even there we see people helping each other and being there for each other.  Thank You!!  God, our Father, we ask if the fires could be put out now.  Please, Lord!
